Most commonly asked
Why do I need water filtration?
Water filtration removes contaminants and chemicals like lead, heavy metals and chlorine form your tap water. It also improves taste, odour and overall quality, ensuring safe and clean water for drinking, bathing and protecting your appliances from damage.
Why do I need to remove heavy metals and chlorine from my water?
Removing heavy metals and chlorine from your water is crucial for your health. Heavy metals can be toxic and many can accumulate in your body over time and cause health issues. Long term exposure to heavy metals like lead and mercury can lead to serious health concerns. Chlorine can cause dry skin and hair and also skin issues including itchy rashes, so it’s essential to minimize intake through water filtration.
I live in Sydney, do I need a water softener?
Sydney’s water is considered to be soft, not hard, so a water softener isn’t necessary. “Hardness” refers to the concentration if dissolved minerals like calcium and magnesium which can cause scale build up in pipes and appliances, reducing their efficiency and lifespan.
What water filtration system do I need if I want to remove fluoride from my water?
To remove fluoride, choose our 7 stage reverse osmosis system, which effectively removes 99.9% of fluoride, enriches the water with hydrogen and delivers alkaline water with a pH of 9.5-10, the ideal pH for drinking water.
Isn’t fluoride good for my teeth?
Excessive fluoride consumption can lead to health concerns such as dental fluorosis (staining and damage to teeth), skeletal fluorosis (bone and joint issues) and potential negative effects on thyroid function. Some studies also suggest links to neurodevelopmental issues*, especially in young children. Adequate water filtration is highly recommended to remove fluoride due to these health concerns, which can outweigh the potential benefit on dental health. Do I need both whole house filtration and a separate drinking water filtration?
For Comprehensive water purity, we highly recommend using both systems. Our whole house filtration system ensures your water is clean and pure, providing you with softer skin and hair, while our 7 stage reverse osmosis system provides ultra-pure, hydrogen rich and alkaline drinking water.
How often should I change my water filters?
It is recommended to change your water filters every 12 months.
Can I change the filters myself?
It is always recommended that a licensed plumber conduct installations and filter changes.
Is bottled water better than filtered water?
Filtered water is better than bottled water. Bottled water is expensive, time-consuming to purchase and often contains micro-plastics. Filtration provides a cost-effective, eco-friendly solution with consistently clean and safe water.
Do water filters remove beneficial minerals?
Our water filters are designed to retain beneficial minerals, while removing harmful substances, ensuring your water remains healthy and safe. Our reverse osmosis system is designed to re-mineralise the water once it has been stripped of toxins and heavy metals, with the added benefit of being made hydrogen-rich and alkaline with a pH of 9.5-10, the ideal pH for drinking water.
What is the difference between whole house and under-sink filtration?
Whole house filtration treats all the water entering your home, ensuring clean and safe water for bathing and appliances. Our under-sink filtration focuses on providing purified, hydrogen-rich, alkaline water at your tap for drinking and cooking.
How do I know which filter system is right for me?
Simple! Take this quick quiz to find out which system is right for you.
Are there any maintenance requirements for water filtration systems?
It is recommended that water filters are changed every 12 months.
Can water filter systems improve taste and odour?
Yes, our water filters improve taste and odour by removing contaminants like chlorine, sediment and organic compounds, resulting in cleaner, fresher-tasting water.
Do you provide installation?
Yes, we provide installation in the Sydney Metro area. You can add installation to your water filtration purchase and our friendly team will be in touch within 24 hours to make a booking with you. For areas outside Sydney Metro, contact a licenced plumber for professional installation.
Whole House Filtration
What size are the filters included in the whole house systems?
Our whole house filtration systems include large 20 inch filters.
Will whole house filtration affect my water pressure?
No. We use ‘low pressure drop’ filters in our whole house systems, which are designed to maintain the flow of water at normal pressure. As the water filters become full of dirt, debris and contaminants, water pressure may slow, however this is an indication that the water filters have been effective at removing contaminants and are due to be changed.
Is professional installation required?
Yes. Professional installation ensures proper setup and optimal performance.
Are whole house filtration systems eco-friendly?
Yes, they reduce the need for bottled water, minimise plastic waste and can improve appliance efficiency, reducing overall environmental impact.
Can a whole house filtration system remove fluoride?
No. For fluoride removal, consider an additional reverse osmosis system.
How often should I replace the filters?
It is recommended the filters are changed every 12 months.
Can I change the filters myself?
It is always recommended that a licensed plumber conduct installations and filter changes.
Under-Sink Filtration
What is a 7-Stage Reverse Osmosis system?
It’s a filtration system with 7 stages of filtration that remove contaminants, add beneficial minerals such as magnesium and potassium, increases alkalinity to 9.5-10 pH and enriches the water with Hydrogen, a powerful antioxidant.
What are the 7 stages of filtration?
The seven stages of filtration, in order, are as follows:
- Polyspun Sediment Cartridge
- 100% Coconut Carbon Block Water Filter
- Reverse Osmosis Membrane
- Hydrogen-Rich Water Filter High Alkaline
- Life Energy Ceramic (FAR Infrared)
- 100% Activated Coconut Carbon Filter
- Magnetic Water Energiser

How does it add Hydrogen to the water?
The system includes a stage that infuses water with molecular hydrogen, providing powerful antioxidant benefits.
Why is Alkaline water beneficial?
Alkaline water can help neutralise acid in the body, improve hydration and enhance overall health.
How often should I replace the filters?
It is recommended the filters are changed every 12 months.
Can I replace the filters myself?
It is always recommended that a licensed plumber conduct installations and filter changes.
Will this system affect my water pressure?
No, water pressure will remain unaffected due to the 8 Litre storage tank included with the system. The system also includes a pressure limiting valve in the case of homes that have higher than normal water pressure.
How long does it take for the tank to refill?
The general guideline is 8 Litres per hour under normal working conditions. The system automatically tops up the tank as water is used so it doesn’t wait for the tank to empty before it starts to refill.
Does the system waste a lot of water?
Reverse osmosis systems do produce some wastewater, but our modern system is efficient with a ~1:1 ratio of filtered to waste water.
